Terms of Service


OARScoach — Motivational Interviewing Practice Platform Effective Date: May 1, 2026 Last Updated: May 1, 2026


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OARScoach ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.


2. Description of Service

OARScoach is an AI-powered practice platform designed to help clinicians and trainees develop Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills through simulated client interactions and MITI-informed feedback.

OARScoach is a training tool only. It is not a substitute for formal MI training, clinical supervision, licensure, or professional development. It does not provide clinical services, therapeutic advice, or professional certification of any kind.


3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Service. By using OARScoach, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.


4. Accounts and Access Codes

Access to the Service requires a valid access code issued by OARScoach. You are responsible for keeping your access code confidential. Sharing your access code with others is not permitted and may result in termination of your access without refund.


5. Subscriptions and Payment

  • Subscriptions are billed on an annual basis at the rate in effect at the time of purchase.
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe. OARScoach does not store your payment information.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as described in Section 6.


6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service through the end of the period for which you have paid.

Refund requests made within 7 days of initial purchase will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact billmatulich@mac.com to request a refund.


7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your access code with others
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its content
  • Use the Service to train or build competing AI systems
  • Misrepresent your identity or credentials in connection with the Service


8. AI-Generated Content

OARScoach uses artificial intelligence to simulate client interactions and generate feedback. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should apply your own professional judgment when interpreting feedback. OARScoach makes no warranty that feedback is clinically accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.


9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, scenarios, and feedback logic in OARScoach are the property of William Matulich, Ph.D. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without written permission.


10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. OARScoach does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular clinical or educational purpose.



11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, William Matulich, Ph.D. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to clinical outcomes, professional decisions, or data loss.


12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
